Who We Are

GPR Survey was founded to solve one of the most persistent and costly problems on Saudi construction and infrastructure sites: the risk of striking unknown underground utilities during excavation, piling, or drilling. What began as a focused Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) survey practice has grown into a full underground investigation company, combining utility detection, cable and leak locating, concrete scanning, geotechnical drilling, soil laboratory testing, and grouting under one technical team.

We work alongside contractors, consultants, municipalities, and asset owners across the Kingdom, from dense urban retrofits in Riyadh and Jeddah to greenfield infrastructure works in NEOM, Qiddiya, and the Eastern Province. Every project, regardless of size, is approached with the same standard: accurate data, clear deliverables, and a survey methodology that holds up to engineering scrutiny.

Our Mission

To give every contractor, engineer, and asset owner in Saudi Arabia complete confidence in what lies beneath the ground before they break it โ€” reducing utility strikes, project delays, and unnecessary excavation costs through accurate, standards-based underground detection and geotechnical investigation.

Methodology & Standards

Our utility detection surveys are carried out in line with PAS128 survey quality levels and referenced against ASCE 38 classification where international standards are required by clients or consultants. Geotechnical investigations follow recognized soil sampling, in-situ testing, and laboratory testing procedures consistent with Saudi Building Code and international geotechnical practice.

Every survey is cross-validated using more than one detection method wherever practical โ€” for example, combining GPR with electromagnetic locating and radio detection โ€” rather than relying on a single technology. This reduces false positives, improves depth accuracy, and gives clients defensible data they can hand directly to designers and excavation crews.

Our Team

Our field teams are led by geotechnical and survey engineers with hands-on project experience across the Saudi construction and infrastructure sector. Equipment operators are trained specifically on GPR antenna selection, EM locator interpretation, and acoustic leak detection technique โ€” skills that take real fieldwork, not just equipment ownership, to apply correctly.

Why Clients Choose GPR Survey

  • Dedicated underground detection specialists, not a generalist survey company offering GPR as an add-on
  • Multi-method validation on every utility detection survey
  • CAD and GIS deliverables compatible with client asset management systems
  • In-house geotechnical drilling and laboratory testing โ€” no third-party handoffs
  • Rapid mobilization across Riyadh, Jeddah, the Eastern Province, and remote giga-project sites
  • Reporting written for engineers, not generic marketing-style summaries

Our Commitment to Safety

Underground utility strikes are not just costly โ€” they are a serious safety hazard, particularly where high-voltage cables or gas lines are involved. Our HSE procedures are built around this reality: every site visit includes a documented risk assessment, and our reporting is designed to give excavation crews unambiguous, scaled information before any ground is broken.
